Jordyn is only days old in these photos, and yes my baby girl, I do love to watch you sleep. Even now at almost four I love to watch you sleep, I must take more pictures of you sleeping :-)
I was re-reading one of my scrapbooking magazines and thought I'd use an "easy patterns" idea. This one enables you to pick your card, paper and then pre-cut it so all you do is assemble it and add embellishments. The above layout is one of three using this. Keep watching for the next two.....
I used 6 sheets of 12x12 cardstock and 1 sheet of double sided patterned paper - this is an ideal use of Stampin' Up! designer series paper.

Pink for the little girl. Love the little flowers with buttons on them, a nice touch Kathy. Your method sounds simple, but it makes a great layout.
