Feels Like Home Scrapbooking

My daughter is growing too fast, these two photos are three years apart, 2014 and 2017 at her primary school.  I wish she would slow down.

I really enjoy this set of papers.  "Feels like Home" has great colours, as the Close To My Heart papers always do.  The layout is straight from the current Idea Book and catalog.  If you wish to create yours then getting the Deluxe Scrapbooking Kit which includes instructions is all you need.

Stomp!

This stamp-set "Something Fierce" was my first choice to get from the current catalogue.  The papers that go with it are stinkin' cute too.
I used White Daisy and Raspberry card-stock, Raspberry and Pewter Inks.  White Ribbon - that stamps amazingly and of course the "Something Fierce" Stamp-set.

Dandelion Birthday Wish

Who doesn't like a pretty dandelion to blow? I must be on a roll with this set lol.
I've used White Daisy and Sugarplum Cardstock along with Eggplant and Sugarplum Ink.  Gold Seqions and sponging.

Make a Wish.....

Really enjoying this stamp set Dandelion Wishes.  Love that the My Acrylic Stamps are flexible so I moved the stem to stamp the dandelion in different directions.   I sponged the edges to add an extra element to the White Daisy cardstock.  Colours used from left to right - Glacier, Thistle and Pixie.  I punched a hole to allow the sentiment to be behind the card front which is popped up using Thin 3-D Foam Tape. A bit of bling from the Sparkles and its finished.  Inspired by pinterest.

Happy Valentines Day

I made this yesterday and had a very good friend on my mind while making it.  I say "hey chick" and she responds with "hey Bunny" something we've done for a very long time.  I used some new  and some retired product.  "Egg-stra Special" stamp-set, Sugarplum Card, Ink and Glimmer Brush, Espresso Ink and our Thin 3- D Foam Tape to pop up the bunny and the small hearts. The large hearts are made using the Basic Hearts and Stitched Hearts Thin Cuts.   Retired Cranberry was used also.
Inspired by Trina Wirihana for the card.

Dandelion Wishes

Studies have kept me busy this past month but here I am.  My nursing course has finished, now I am waiting to sit my state registration exam in a few weeks so instead of studying I am indulging my inner crafter lol.  This stamp-set is called Dandelion Wishes and is just lovely.  Brings to mind my childhood and the joy of blowing them.  Now that I'm an adult I get to watch my children share the same joy.

This card is inspired by Pinterest and Catherine Nowak, a fellow consultant of Close To My Heart.  I have used Saphire Ink , Lemon cardstock , White Daisy and papers from the Mix-in Paper Packet and So Much Happy.  Embellished with White Ribbon and Silver Glitter Gems.  Popped up with Thin 3-D Foam Dots to raise the sentiment.

It's a dino kinda day

Something fierce is a stamp set all about dinosaurs.  This was the first stamp set that I had to have from the new catalogue. It was also a request by my 10 year old daughter. Her brother loved them when he was small so it's great to have another kid that likes the beasts as well.  I mean who doesn't love dinosaurs?

I have used the following sketch challenge....

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #297
Its time for me to begin blogging again, and Im still excited to be involved with Close to My Heart.  This fabulous creative company has enabled me to work my business as much or as little as I have been able and I've enjoyed the loyal support of a lovely bunch of ladies over the past few years while enjoying the craft myself.

This is the latest catalogue that launched a few days ago, go visit my website for a closer look....

The last few years have been, well, lets just say they have been.  Am I glad to see them gone?  Yes, but I am also glad to have gone through them and have come out the other side. I have made some amazing connections with my church family, made some amazing connections with my daughter's school community and the overlap of the two has been one of the biggest blessings to come out of the last wee while.

I have been studying full time, which I am almost finished, so March will see me graduate with my diploma in Enrolled Nursing.  I have been working partime, bringing up my family, volunteering within my church, and being involved with my husband's awesome 86 year old aunt as her person.  She has been a pillar of strength for me and has been as beneficial to me as I have been to her.

Im looking forward to blogging regularly again, so watch this space
